Core App & Cloud Control:
Expanded Support and Enhanced Security
We’ve rolled out Core App for Android v4.13.0 and Cloud Control for Android v2.13.0! Packed with improvements to broaden compatibility and boost reliability.
What’s new?
- New device support: Sharp PN-ME2, BenQ SL04 and ELO I-Series 5 with Backpack 5 are now fully supported.
- Stronger security: Applet and script configurations can now be encrypted across all devices.
- Modernized WebView: Every device, even those running Android 4.4, will now come pre-installed with at least WebView M85.
This release is all about giving you wider hardware coverage, better security practices, and a more consistent experience across devices.

Box: Smarter Company URLs
Box URLs are getting smarter! From now on, your company handle (a machine-readable company name) will become part of the URL.
Why this change?
- Easier navigation: Switch between multiple companies with less confusion.
- More control: Company owners can update the handle directly in Company settings.
- Future-ready: This is a step toward custom roles and privileges (RBAC), ensuring stronger, more flexible permission management.

CLI 2.7.0: Security First, Always Up to Date
The latest version of the CLI tool (v2.7.0) is here with a focus on improved security and refreshed dependencies. Updates also extend to the generated applet boilerplate.
How to update?
Simply run: npm install -g @signageos/cli@latest
This keeps your tooling secure, reliable and aligned with the newest standards.
