Core Apps Update
An important patch will be released for current versions of Core Apps. In rare cases, the app may lose a server connection due to unhandled errors from the device’s native APIs. To recover from this issue, the Backup Reboot Power Action needs to be performed. The Core Apps Team will provide a patch for this issue in the following versions by next week: BrightSign 2.1.3, Tizen 2.8.0, and webOS 2.9.1, with other versions to follow.
We strongly recommend using these patched versions for all future deployments to ensure optimal performance.
API System Upgrade
On Monday, December 9, our backend team will deploy a new API version. This under-the-hood update marks the completion of Phase I of our ACL system upgrade, enabling custom roles and privileges for signageOS users.
We ask that you report any unusual behavior or responses, should that happen. The initial endpoint utilizing the new backend is /location, with others to follow shortly.
