CoreApps Release
CoreApps introduces its Autumn release, bringing updates to Tizen, webOS, BrightSign, and Android platforms.🎈
Tizen v2.7.0
Focuses on bug fixes and public availability of the following features:
- Auto-recovery to ensure continuous operation of Tizen devices.
- MagicInfo Server URL setting and reporting for on-demand connection/disconnection from Samsung MagicInfo
- Support for sending custom MDC commands in JS API
- Remote desktop feature for easy display menu navigation and configuration via signageOS.
- Support for custom scripts for per-device configuration.
webOS v2.9.0
The focus is mainly on stability improvements, bug fixes, and application size reduction.
BrightSign v2.1.0
Major update with several new features and enhancements:
- New on-screen keyboard for interactive applications, such as form entry
- Custom script support.
- Updated sos.browser() JS API to open websites with X-Frame-Origin: Deny property
- Improved network and Wi-Fi management.
- New video playback version is more robust and corrects occasional race conditions in previous versions
- Proxy setting support in browser windows.
Android 4.8.3
Updated features :
- Developer Option: Applet lifecycle may continue to run while the screen turns off.
- Added support for NovaStar TB50.
- Screenshot telemetry and API can be disabled by a remote-controlled feature flag.

Although screen capture and the signageOS Screenshot Time Machine are among our most popular features, environments like hospitality and healthcare may require stricter privacy. To accommodate these needs, we’ve added an option to fully disable screen capture and remote desktop access, ensuring security and privacy. 👍
“Box” UX Refresh
signageOS “Box,” our device management console, is getting a UX refresh, starting with updates to the look and feel of older sections. This will be followed by exciting improvements in navigation, design, and app speed. Stay tuned for more updates! 😎
